The development of AI has given rise to a new social and ethical issue worldwide. It is the use of deepfake technology. Deepfakes are videos, etc., created using AI. This involves using an ordinary image of any man or woman and superimposing their face onto obscene and explicit content, making it appear as if it is the video or image of that particular man or woman.
The purpose of deepfakes is to defame people or take revenge on them. Likewise, deepfakes of famous people are created to gain views. Worldwide, women, in particular, are becoming the target of deepfakes. Whether a woman is from the West or the East, despite her innocence, it is an extremely shameful matter for her. However, in the East, the situation is such that even a false accusation can be enough to ruin a woman’s life. In such cases, deepfake videos and images are even more destructive.
In such a situation, on one hand, the responsibility of cyber crime agencies increases significantly, and on the other hand, women must exercise great caution when posting or sharing their images on social media. Parents should particularly advise young girls in educational institutions to be cautious when having their pictures taken. Similarly, the responsibility of ordinary people is to ensure that if any such issue arises, they should fear God and, at the first stage, destroy such content rather than spreading it. This issue is so serious that until everyone plays his part, the devils will continue to ruin the lives of innocent people.
