Thank you
Man is the most wonderful creation of God on this planet. There are thousands of aspects of human excellence, but the greatest is our creative ability, especially our power of expression. The beauty and excellence with which we express feelings, observations, and impressions through speech and writing is undoubtedly the essence of creative ability. Despite this extraordinary talent, we face numerous limitations, the greatest of which is our inability to adequately praise our Lord.
Whether poetry, prose, sermons, essay, or any other form, human expression is dependent on norms of language for its beauty and communication. Yet, God’s greatness and praise transcend all forms and styles. How may we praise Him, there is none like Him. What simile can we use, no metaphor can fully convey His beauty. In what form may we express His likeness, The Lord of the two worlds is unparalleled. What may we compare with Him, He is beyond all comparisons. How may we remember Him, His presence reflects in every creation. How can we remove Him when He is the innermost essence of every manifestation. His perfection is indescribable and beyond the reach of both elaborate description and concise expression. The elevation of His beauty can neither be described with reality nor with metaphors.
In such a situation, our only recourse is the words of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), the greatest knower of God: *”اللھم لانحصی ثناء علیک انت کما اثنیت علی نفسک”* This profound truth, that only the last Prophet could convey, reminds us that praising and glorifying God is beyond our capability. He is as He has praised Himself.
Thank you, O Messenger of Allah.
